PreK PM Scholars 3 Day 2023

Service Description

Classes are offered every FULL day following the Rumson School Calendar starting September of 2023. Students can be dropped off at the Peach Pit at 11:30 or picked up from Deane Porter at 11:25 dismissal and walked back to the Peach Pit. Pick up is 1:30. This program includes two hours of thoughtfully planned activities using research-based best practices for the development of skills, confidence and overall well being. Students will have an opportunity to play in a way that improves their cognitive, physical and social skills; which they will need for studying, working and building relationships. Each day will focus on a different area of the arts/extracurricular whether it be music, drama, STEM, sports/dance or art. We will allow for structured-freedom which helps children build connections in their brain to lay the groundwork for cognitive growth. We incorporate Orton Gillingham methodologies and involve students in Kindergarten readiness activities. Students will engage in age-appropriate, hands-on learning in an environment where they are encouraged to take risks and try new things with their peers. Instruction will be personalized to meet every child right where they are. We will wind down every day with a read aloud, short discussion and reflection of our time together. *Choose Aug. 1st when registering
