Service Description

Children fall along a spectrum of Dyslexia. It is a general term for those who may have difficulty in learning to read or interpret words, letters, and other symbols. It affects the area of the brain that processes language. Are you unsure of the next steps to help your child? Would you like to know how to bring those questions to your school's attention? What is your child facing and what should they already know? This workshop will offer insight into identification, tools and support for parents of children who are struggling. Early assessments and immediate interventions result in the best outcomes. We will be looking at skills that our children should already be able to accomplish as well as the milestones they should meet. What can you do to help? What can you expect from your school? What things can be done at home to best support your child? -Bridget
