Sushi and Japanese Culture

Service Description

Sushi & Japanese Culture Class: Sushi Making and Japanese Culture: What could be better than pairing your favorite culinary treat with summertime cultural immersion?! In this hands-on class, we will learn about and make all of the sushi favorites, while also exploring the history of Japanese culture, cuisine, and ceremony. We will enjoy learning, creating, and eating together! Classes include: Maki Two Ways paired with a discussion of the History of Sushi; Nigiri and Temari paired with a discussion of Sustainable Fisheries; Imari and Miso Soup paired with a lesson on Japanese History and Culture; and Mochi Dessert and Fruishi (Fruit Sushi) paired with a lesson on the Japanese Tea Ceremony.

Cancellation Policy

When guardians bring their child to the Peach Pit, they acknowledge and agree that their child has permission to freely socialize or participate in activities organized by the Peach Pit. Guardians understand and acknowledge that there are inherent risks associated with these activities, including but not limited to, physical injury, illness, and property damage. Guardians accept full responsibility for any such risks and release The Peach Pit, 07760, its staff, volunteers, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, and actions arising out of or related to my child’s participation in the club’s activities. Guardians understand that it is their responsibility to ensure that their child follows all safety instructions and rules provided by the Peach Pit's staff and that failure to do so may result in my child’s dismissal from the activities without refund. Guardians hereby waive any right to pursue legal action against the Peach Pit and its affiliates for any injuries, damages, or losses sustained by their child while participating in free social time or activities. By registering my child, I agree to these terms and conditions.
